The Story Behind Abstract painting 'Hypnosis': A Colorful Journey of Joy and Freedom
Hey there, fellow art lovers!
I'm Marisol, and I'm an abstract artist with a passion for creating colorful and playful pieces that bring joy and inspiration to people's lives. I am thrilled to invite you into my little universe and share with you the story behind my favorite painting - "Hypnosis."
So, let's start with the name.
Why "Hypnosis?"
Well, when I was creating this piece, I found myself completely lost in the process. The colors, the brushstrokes, the marks, they all came together in a beautiful dance that left me feeling hypnotized. And that's when it hit me - the name "Hypnosis" was perfect!
The inspiration for this painting came from my love of color and the way it can create different emotions and feelings. I wanted to capture that feeling of being completely lost in the moment and feeling joyful and free.
"Color is a manifestation of the soul" is a quote that resonates deeply with me. As an artist, I believe that color is more than just a visual experience - it is an emotional and spiritual one. Color has the power to evoke feelings of joy, sadness, passion, and tranquility. It is a language all its own, and one that speaks directly to the soul.
This quote by Wassily Kandinsky reminds me that art is not just about what we see, but what we feel. It inspires me to use color to express my innermost thoughts and emotions, and to create works of art that speak to the soul. When I am painting, I feel a deep connection to the colors I use, and I strive to create harmony and balance that resonates with the viewer.
And let me tell you more about the inspiration behind my painting, "Hypnosis."
As I mentioned earlier, I'm completely in love with Spain and its vibrant culture. I'm constantly inspired by the colorful streets, the people, the music, and the breathtaking landscapes that surround me here in Andalusia.
There's just something about the energy and passion of this place that makes me feel alive!
So when I set out to create "Hypnosis," I knew I wanted to capture that same sense of joy and freedom that I feel when I'm here in Spain. I wanted to use color and movement to create a painting that would transport the viewer to a place of pure happiness and excitement.
It was such a fun experience to create this piece! I let my instincts guide me as I played with different colors and techniques, allowing the painting to take on a life of its own. The end result is a vibrant, energetic piece that I'm truly proud of.
But more than just being a beautiful painting, "Hypnosis" is a reflection of my deep love and appreciation for the Spanish culture and way of life.
It's my way of sharing that love with the world, and hopefully inspiring others to seek out their own sources of joy and inspiration.
When I look at "Hypnosis," I see a celebration of imperfection. The marks and scratches in the painting create a sense of balance and harmony, and the bold use of color just brings so much joy to my life. I wanted to convey that sense of joy and happiness to anyone who views the painting.
For me, painting is a form of spirituality, and "Hypnosis" embodies that for me. It's a reminder to always let yourself get lost in the moment and find joy in the imperfections of life. I hope that this painting brings that same sense of joy and wonder to your life too.
Oh, and did I mention that "Hypnosis" was exhibited in the famous Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid and also participated in the international contemporary Art Fair in Paris? This painting has had quite the journey.
My journey as an artist
Oh, I'd love to share a bit more about my journey as an artist with you!
You see, I've always been fascinated by art and had dreams of pursuing it, but growing up in a traditional family meant that it wasn't really encouraged. Despite this, I never let go of my love for creativity and expression.
After years of studying subjects that weren't really my passion, I finally got the chance to study Art & Design for three amazing years. It was a period of pure bliss where I could immerse myself in my true passion.
However, life had other plans, and I ended up graduating with a degree in political science and public administration.
But that didn't stop me from continuing to explore my love of art!
Over the years, I've had the incredible opportunity to showcase my artwork in international exhibitions and art fairs across the United States, Europe, and Japan. And I'm thrilled to say that my paintings have found homes with private collectors all over the world. It's been such an amazing journey, and I'm grateful for every moment of it.
I truly believe that my love for Spain and its rich culture, people, music, colors, and landscapes has been a huge source of inspiration for my art. The warmth and vibrancy of the Spanish culture just speak to my soul and I try to capture that in my paintings. And let me tell you, it's been such a fun and fulfilling journey so far!
Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey with "Hypnosis." I can't wait for you to see it in person and experience its magic for yourself!
