I'm Erkin Yılmaz, based in Ankara, Türkiye, retired after serving 26 years with the Turkish Defense Ministry. These natural wonders sparked my passion for art, inspiring me to capture their essence on canvas.

Türkiye, is a boundless wellspring of inspiration, boasting a rich cultural tapestry and breathtaking landscapes bordered by seas on three sides. Moreover, my experiences living in various countries have expanded my worldview, enriching my artistic expression with diverse influences and insights.
3. Can you describe your art and your art style? What does your work aim to say?
My art primarily revolves around watercolor, a medium I find enchanting due to its unpredictable nature. Each piece tells a story of harmony between the natural world and the human spirit, inviting viewers on a journey of introspection and connection.

I draw inspiration from a variety of artists, both past and present. The expressive brushstrokes of Winslow Homer, the ethereal seascapes of J.M.W. Their work inspires me to infuse my own art with a sense of wonder and emotion.
